Plum and Almond Galettes With Puff Pastry

Ingredients

puff pastry
ready-made, pre-rolled
8
plums
not too ripe
3
tbsp
demerara sugar
3
tbsp
almonds
flaked
2
tbsp
milk
to glaze
Instructions
Get the ready-made pastry out of the fridge 30 minutes before you need it. Preheat the oven to 190c / gas mark 5.
Unroll the pastry and cut out circles with a pastry cutter - around 8cm wide.
Arrange the pastry circles on the baking sheets leaving 2-3cm gaps between them.
Remove the stones from the plums and slice into thin segments. Arrange these on top of the pastry circles.
Brush the pastry edges of the galettes with milk and scatter demerara sugar and a few flakes of almonds over each one.
Bake for around 15 minutes. Keep an eye on them so they don't scorch.
