It makes a change when former sports stars carve out careers away from their game that don’t involve reality TV and super injunctions.
Former English rugby captain Lawrence Dallaglio, being of part Italian extraction has had a growing partnership with Sacla pasta sauces for a few years and this has been followed up with My Italian Family Cookbook.
Full of no-nonsense easy Italian recipes, these are meals you can rustle up for dinner with ingredients from Sainsbury’s as opposed to popping off to a Pugliese peasant market.
See what I thought of Lawrence’s book in my video review below and come back during the week when I’ll be blogging one of Lawrence’s super quick Italian recipes (with Ted’s assistance).
In the meantime, I realise I’ve not been as prolific as usual lately but there is a reason I will share in due course.

What a tease you are Sarah. I have no patience and obviously want to know what you are talking about now, hehe.

Great review, I’m of course eager to see Teds contribution.

“Pugliese peasant market” I have been giggling over that all day.
Hurrah for books with sensible ingredients.

Titter!

Sara, any chance you could do a written review as well as your video review? I live in the ‘middle of nowhere’ and our internet connection is rubbish so vids/utube etc are just not feasible. I feel like I’m missing out!
Looking forward to hearing your news 🙂

Hi Janice, I write a quick summary giving an indication of what I thought of it without watching the video however I’m doing the vids at the moment to save time as I don’t always have time to write detailed reviews. Maybe if you email me your address I can burn you a CD with all the videos on it – there are about ten more to come!
