To celebrate the launch of nominations for the Food and Travel reader awards, the magazine are giving one lucky Maison Cupcake reader a one year subscription to enjoy.

Nominations for the Food and Travel Reader awards close on May 4th and will form the basis of a short list to be published in the July issue.

As well has having the chance to win a subscription on Maison Cupcake today, anyone who pops through to make their nominations for the Food and Travel awards also gets entered into a draw to win some Billecart-Salmon champagne. What are you waiting for?

    Malaysia – I adore Malaysian food but when I lived in the region I was newly married and a very inexperienced cook so I didn’t learn as much about the cooking as I wish I had done

    I’ll love to go to Thailand to try the food. My son has just returned from there and says that the Thai food that we have here is nothing like the real thing. Can’t wait to find out 🙂

    I’d love to go to Parma in Italy for the food. It’s home to parmesan cheese, parma ham and is seriously foody but I’ve never been.

    Vietnam would be my choice at the moment. I love Asian food and have already been to China and Thailand and in both the food was so much better and mmore varied than you can get here.

    I think I have been fortunate to have had food prepared by proper Bhutanese, Chinese and Thai chefs but I have never been (although I have “done” Korea) and I would like to visit and taste the food in context to the surroundings. Wouldn’t it be nice to spend months doing a grand tour!

    I had always wanted to go to Italy to sample the food there, but I was lucky enough to go this February, so now I would love more than anything, do go on a massive tour of the US and travel round all the states and have the local foods, and even foods that we have in the UK but they do bigger and better over there! A tour of New York’s Cupcakeries would be heaven!

    I HAVE BEEN TO ITALY AND ITS TRUE TO WORD. SCRUMPTIOUS PASTAS AND TO DIE FOR LASANGE. I THINK I WOULD TRY THAILAND AS IT ALWAYS SEEMS SO EXOTIC AND I LOVE TO HAVE A CHANGE THERES SO MANY PLACES AND SO MANY THINGS TO TRY I CANT SAY I HAVE A FAVOURITE

    I absolutely love Chinese food, especially Cantonese, so would love to travel to China just to see how the food compares to our traditional Chinese restaurants in the UK!

    Tough one as theres a few for be, but i think it’d have to be Japan, I dont think the version we have here is the same as how it is in Japan itself.
