There’s a nip in the morning air, I’ve bought my first pumpkin and autumn is well and truly here. This month it was my turn to collate the many Credit Crunch Munch entries received and I have thoughtfully divided these thrifty autumn recipes into type:

Soups, snacks and sandwiches: Avocado, pea and goats’ cheese bruschetta by Tinned Tomatoes | Carrot & Coriander Soup by Fab Food 4 All | Chilli Cheese Sandwich with Chinese style tomato soup by Real Home Cooked Food | Miso Muffins with Kale and Carrot by Chocolate Log Blog | Tomato & Basil Soup by Hay in a Day

Pasta: Homemade ravioli with ricotta and spinach by My Little Italian Kitchen | Wholewheat spinach ravioli by Real Home Cooked Food | Roasted Meditterranean vegetable feta lasagne by How to Cook Good Food | Cheesy courgette pasta by I’d Much Rather Bake Than

Spicy: Chickpea and lentil coconut dahl by The Syders | Carrot Handvo and Achari BBQ Paneer by Home Cooked Food

Meat and poultry: Only 3 recipes out of 27 contained meat indicating that the veggie option is one of our favourite ways to cut back on cost: Easy One Pot Chicken Cous Cous with Olives by Maison Cupcake | Beef and vegetable cottage pie by Lancashire Food | Slow cooker beef in Guinness casserole by Let’s Try This at Home

Other vegetable dishes: Vegetable Puff Pastry by Veggie Success | Baked Courgettes with Feta, Tomato, Marjoram and Mint by De Tout Coeur Limousin | Vegetarian meatball and chickpea stew by Feeding Boys | Homemade tomato free BBQ sauce by Taste Space

Sweet: Roast dinner waste cake by Veggie Desserts | Fruit bowl cake by Ren Behan | Mixed Berry Pavlova by My Little Kitchen | Rhubarb & Blackberry Spiral Cobbler by Fab Food 4 All |

Sweet: Banana, nectarine and cinnamon muffins by Feeding Boys | Banana and Berry Loaf by More Than Occasional Baker | Autumn Pavlova by Vohn’s Vittles

Thank you very much for everyone’s lovely entries!

This round up shows you don’t need to eat dull food if you’re on a budget… great selection there Sarah. I’m right in the mood for a good old cobbler now 😉 Thanks for including my recipes in your line-up.
