Giveaway: Ching’s Chinese Food in Minutes

February 21, 2010 by Sarah / Maison Cupcake

Although Chinese New Year has not thus far been mentioned on Maison Cupcake, today at the tail end of the celebrations, I am giving away this copy of Ching’s Chinese Food in Minutes by Ching-he Huang published by Harper Collins.

With over 220 pages, Ching’s book features all manner of Chinese dishes with the emphasis being on those which are speedy to prepare.  Chapters are straightforward including pork, chicken, duck, fish, shellfish and vegetarian or side dishes. There are also some recipes on desserts and drinks and easy entertaining. Each chapter starts with a page giving a rundown of how long each recipe takes, most clock in at 20 minutes or less.

Ching also gives useful sections on menus, looking after your wok, a list of core Chinese store cupboard items and a detailed glossary.

Read more about Ching and see online recipes from her BBC2 television series Chinese Food Made Easy here.

**** Shipping to UK mainland addresses only ****

If you would like to win the book, please leave a comment below telling me what your favourite chinese dish is. The deadline for comments is midnight GMT on Friday 26th February 2010.

The winner, chosen by an online randomiser will be contacted over the weekend. If you are not logged in with an email or blog address for leaving comments please make sure you email me to confirm your entry at sarah AT maisoncupcake DOT com.  If I don’t have contact details for you I cannot tell you you’ve won and a new winner will be chosen.

This item is not a freebie from the publisher. It is a personal gift from myself to my readers. Good luck!

I love making them, we always make up big batches and freeze them for when we have a big craving.
They normally only last a couple of weeks.

I enjyoed Chinese Food Made Easy on the TV, her recipes look good.
